FSI lab receives the 2020 University-Industry Collaborative provost’s seed funding award. The funding supports collaborative research with our industry partner, EOM Offshore LLC. towards developing silent mooring lines with applications in passive acoustic monitoring of endangered mammals.

FSI lab receives funding from Office of Naval Research (ONR) to support research in the area of biomimetic ocean sensor design. Our team will design and develop a new class of biomimetic fluid sensors with augmented sensitivity that can detect complex flow features and hydrodynamic stimuli encountered, while tracking a moving object. The funding is a part of $4.6M grant received from the U.S. Navy for marine technology research through Marine and Undersea Technology Research (MUST) Program.
